They use epoxy coated, fully sealed electronics on solid state circuit boards. All the LEDs light up for tail lights and all get brighter for stop/turn. The LEDs are instant on and off. Almost unnatural! They are so fast NHRA had to re-calculate the Christmas Tree when they converted. Low current so they run cool. Tremendous life span. They measure about 3/4" X 2 3/4" X 8 1/2".
