Here is a cure for higher fuel consumption after you put Fenton headers on and kept your original 1 barrel Rochester. It seems that the heat provided by the original exhaust manifold wasn't all bad. It helped the fuel to atomize so the end cylinders didn't run lean and slightly flood the center cylinders. I used this and clipped 1 turn off the carburetor power valve spring for my improvements. It works! Now you have even better performance to match that "six in heat" sound! The plate is aluminum and ready to bolt on. I recommend that you use Ultra Red High Heat Silicone Sealant.
